Rapeseed meal is superior to sunflower meal, but the content of lysine is 33%, cystine 2.1 times. 1 kg of such meal contains 0.91 feed. units and 318 g of digestible protein (or 1 fodder unit accounts for 350 g of protein), in 1 kg of cake, respectively, 1.1 - 1.2 fodder. units and 277 g (or 1 feed unit accounts for 230-250 g of protein). With a seed yield of 20 centners per hectare, 8 centners can be obtained from 1 hectare. butter and 12 c. cake.

One ton of rapeseed meal (cake) allows you to balance the protein of 7-8 tons of grain fodder (oats, barley), while the content of digestible protein in 1 feed. units rises from 81 to 110 g.

Spring rapeseed is also grown to obtain high-protein green fodder, both in the main and intermediate crops. The nutritional value of the green mass of rapeseed is especially high during summer mowing and stubble crops. Plants contain 18.86 - 23.68% protein, 1 kg of dry matter - 0.98 - 1.02 feed. units, or for 1 feed. units accounts for 153 - 189 g of digestible protein. In the main crops, it is cultivated primarily in busy fallows both in pure form and mixed with oats or barley.

The green mass of spring rapeseed is widely used for fodder purposes. It contains 4.9-5.1% protein, that is, 2 times more than in the green mass of corn and sunflower. Spring rapeseed is a good honey plant.
